Program Specific Outcomes


    Program Specific Outcomes: B.Sc. (Physics)
PSO1 : Understand basic mechanics and properties of matter.
PSO2 : Students should understand mathematical concepts needed for understanding Physics.
PSO3 : Students should understand fundamental basic theories of General Physics, Classical Mechanics, Quantum mechanics, Electricity and magnetism, Modern Physics, Space Science, Semiconductor Physics and able to apply this knowledge to analyze the variety of physics phenomenon.
PSO4 : Students should learn laboratory skills, students should take measurements in Physics laboratory and analyze the measurements to draw valid conclusions. 

 

    Program Specific Outcomes: M.Sc. (Physics)
PSO1 : The student will acquire a comprehensive knowledge and sound understanding of fundamentals of Physics and will be able to apply a scientific knowledge gained through core and specialized physics papers
PSO2 :

The student will be able to develop practical, analytical and mathematical skills in Physics and determine the appropriate level of technology in practice.

  1. Experimental design and implementation. 
  2. Analysis of experimental data and awareness of handle the sophisticated instruments/equipments. 
  3. Numerical and mathematical methods in problem solving.
  4. Acquire a range of general skills.
  5. To evaluate information.
  6. To use computers productively.
  7. To communicate with society effectively and learn independently.
  8. To develop the skill to plan, execute and report the results of an extended experimental or theoretical Physics based on project in Masters Programme.
  9. Demonstrate, solve and an understanding of major concepts in all disciplines of Physics.
PSO3 : Understand and apply principles of physics for understanding the scientific phenomenon in classical and quantum physics.
